From a pizza-making team social to your next office lunch

A pizza-making party brings colleagues to the restaurant to make and eat their own pizzas. An office lunch brings prepared food to the place where your team is working. Both can have a place in the team calendar, but they need different arrangements.

If your group has enjoyed a Zzetta activity, the next useful question is straightforward: when will you next need to feed people at work? It might be a project meeting, a visiting client group, a new-joiner lunch or the day colleagues come into the office together.

Decide what the next occasion needs

Start with the purpose of the gathering before choosing the food. A hands-on activity needs time away from desks and a session that suits the participating group. A working lunch needs food ready around the agenda, with a plan for receiving and serving it.

Our private adult pizza-making experience takes place at Zzetta in Canning Town. Workplace catering is a separate order for prepared food, with collection or delivery arrangements agreed through our catering route. A class reservation does not book an office delivery or create a recurring lunch order.

If you are planning another private activity, ask us to confirm the session time before paying. Do not use ordinary restaurant opening hours to assume private-party availability.

Give the organiser a fresh brief

The people attending your next lunch may be different from those who came to the social. Build the new order around the current occasion rather than reusing an old headcount or treating last time’s preferences as permanent.

A useful catering brief includes:

  • The company or team name and one organiser’s contact details.
  • The date and the time people need to start eating.
  • The number of diners and whether pizza is the main meal or part of a larger spread.
  • The full workplace or venue address, including the room or floor.
  • Whether you want collection or would like delivery considered.
  • Dietary requirements and any questions that need a direct conversation with the kitchen.
  • A budget for the order, if you have one, so the proposed choices can be relevant.

If attendance is still uncertain, say which number is confirmed and which is an estimate. Ask when quantities need to be finalised instead of assuming they can change on the day.

Make the workplace handover clear

An office address alone may not tell the person receiving the food enough. Check the building’s arrangements for deliveries, security, lifts and access to the intended serving space.

Nominate someone who will be available at the agreed handover time. Give them the order details and the organiser’s contact number. Decide where the food will be set out and ask what serving items are included or need arranging.

For collection, agree who is collecting and how the food will reach the workplace. For delivery, confirm the address, availability, timing and any delivery charges with Zzetta. A quote or an enquiry is not a confirmed delivery until the arrangements have been agreed.

Recheck dietary needs for this group

Ask each person for their full requirements. A guest may need a combination of choices, and the people who joined the pizza-making activity may not represent everyone attending the office lunch.

Zzetta offers halal, vegan and gluten-free options. Discuss the suitability of the complete order with us, including any ingredient or preparation questions. For an allergy or coeliac-related requirement, call 020 3904 7074 before confirming the food. Do not assume an option is suitable solely because a similar pizza was served at an earlier event.

Keep the information available to the person receiving the order, with the guest’s agreement, so any confirmed individual choices reach the right people.

Mention the team social when you enquire

If your company has already booked or attended pizza-making at Zzetta, tell us the organiser’s name and the date. Include the reservation reference if you have it. That gives our team a useful starting point for the conversation.

Then explain the new requirement in its own right. The office lunch needs its own headcount, menu choices, delivery or collection agreement and payment arrangements. There is no need to decide on a recurring programme before arranging one useful lunch.

After the order, record what worked for your team: quantities, timing, serving arrangements and any changes to make next time. If a repeat lunch would help, discuss the next date with us. Repeat orders and ongoing arrangements are agreed separately.

Start your workplace catering enquiry

Visit the Zzetta Catering Hub to choose the appropriate ordering or enquiry route. Share your date, headcount and workplace address, and mention your team’s pizza-making booking if relevant.

We make our pizza with 48-hour slow-proved dough and bake it in our dome stone oven at Zzetta in Canning Town. Tell us about the next occasion and we can discuss the food and practical arrangements for it.
